Why Libraries will Never Go Away.
I know people are worried about the advent of digital media, ereaders in particular, but I feel the need to assure you all that libraries will never disappear from our world.
Why, you ask? What makes me so certain? The answer is simple. Libraries are home to one of the greatest cultural treasures of the modern age. In no way do I believe it is possible for our culture to abandon this treasure, which has made it’s way into popular culture, movies, magazines, and lo and behold, even books. Hell, I can even guarantee countless mentions on Tumblr if you even give it half a moment to check.
What I am talking about, of course, is Sexy Librarians. We love them far too much to risk losing them in their natural habitat, so we will do whatever we can to protect that habitat.
That is why libraries will never go away, plain and simple.
