The Beauty of Belief

My name is Michael Bugsy.

I’m currently working on my Master’s Degree in Philosophy, focusing on Classic American Pragmatism nee James, Peirce, and Dewey.  I’m trying to get back something which has been missing from my life recently, and I don’t know if tumblr can help me out there, but a place for my more random thoughts is precious.

I’m actively interested in Hope and the notion of Faith, and the feelings of fulfillment that people can attain from them.  What makes people happy, and what is of genuine concern to them, I find to be very interesting, and I would love to learn more about it.

The idea of my blog is to post things which one might call inspirational, but I mean that in the most subjective way possible.  People can draw inspiration from any number of things, from quotes to pictures, actions to words.  I want to know what inspires people to action, to hope, to love, and anything in between.

And, in the process, maybe find the part of me that I feel dwindling, where I might find my inspiration again.
